Welcome to the Biophotonics Lab @ USTC !

Hosted by the Department of Optics and Optical Engineering, the lab is performing interdisciplinary research on optics, optoelectronics, and biomedical engineering. Specifically, the lab is dedicated to developing novel optical methods and techniques regarding optical trapping and imaging for biomedical applications. In the meantime, our group pays special attention to wavefront shaping techniques that control multiple light scattering, offering the possibility of optical trapping and imaging inside deep tissues. These techniques will help us explore the biological systems at single molecular and cellular scales in vivo. The major techniques that are under development in the lab include optical tweezers for living animals, single-molecular optical tweezers, Raman tweezers, advanced wavefront shaping techniques, fiber-optics endoscopy, computational biomedical imaging, etc.
